What is included in the Otter Adoption Pack?
Every Otter Adoption Pack includes a beautifully presented adoption certificate, a full-colour photograph of your chosen otter, a fascinating fact sheet, a welcome letter from the sanctuary and an annual admission ticket. Each pack is carefully prepared, making it a thoughtful gift for animal lovers of all ages.
Can I buy an otter adoption as a gift?
Absolutely! Our otter adoptions make a unique and meaningful gift for birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries or any special occasion. You can even include a personalised gift message, and we'll beautifully present the adoption pack ready to give.
How long does an otter adoption last?
Your otter adoption lasts for 12 months. During that time you'll be helping to support the care, feeding and enrichment of your chosen otter, while also receiving an annual admission ticket to visit the sanctuary.
How does my adoption help the sanctuary?
Every adoption directly supports the welfare of our resident otters. Your contribution helps provide fresh food, veterinary care, enrichment activities, habitat maintenance and the ongoing rescue and care work carried out by the Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary.
Can I choose which otter I adopt?
Yes! Each of our resident otters has their own unique personality and story. Whether you choose the mischievous Halloumi, the gentle Mr Brook or another of our wonderful otters, you'll receive an adoption pack personalised for your chosen otter.
Can I visit my adopted otter?
Yes! Every adoption includes an annual admission ticket, giving you the opportunity to visit the sanctuary and see your adopted otter in their home. While we can't guarantee they'll always be visible during your visit (they do like to nap!), our daily keeper talks are a great opportunity to learn more about their personalities and lives.
